Scrambling up the rocky mountainside in the dead of night I watch as faint green hues began to materialize above me, steadily getting stronger with each passing minute. I finally made it to the peak of Selga and set up my camera, then sat back to watch the light show which was now in full swing. The way the light snakes across the sky is a surreal experience, as my eyes adjusted from my camera LCD to the night sky I began to see more and truly appreciate the spectacle before me. Shimmers of purple and blue shot and shimmered across the slowly snaking green path. As I stood there mesmerized I could hear the whoops and shouts of other hikers on the nearby peaks, they too captivated by this otherworldly experience.
